Our Canadian operation, Canaccord Genuity Corp., is currently looking for a Cyber Security Analyst who will be responsible for the managing the Data Loss Prevention (DLP) eco-system which includes, categorization, monitoring and prevention of data loss. Reporting to the Manager of Cyber Security, the incumbent, would be responsible for the successful deployment and ongoing assessment of events involving the management, loss or exposure of Canaccord informational assets.

 

Responsibilities:

 
  • Work with the business to deploy and manage a DLP system.  Recommend strategic security solutions and security control improvements specific to the enhancing the identification of data security events;
  • Identify, assess, and escalate findings relating to events involving the potential loss or exposure of Canaccord Genuity's informational assets;
  • Work with the Manager of Cyber Security to report events involving the loss or exposure of Canaccord Genuity’s informational assets;
 
Skills & Qualifications:
 
  • DLP environment experience:
    • Experience in Policy, Standards, Procedures and Guidelines an asset;
    • Experience performing classification of documents;
    • Experience in deployment of DLP monitoring tools.
  • Functional knowledge of any of the existing DLP technologies such as McAfee, Microsoft AIP and Titus;
  • Performed Business Analysis work either currently or in the past;
  • Project management experience;
  • Strong approach to critical thinking, analytics, and detail oriented;
  • Very strong communications, as this candidate must be able to communicate with our different lines of business;
  • Demonstrate a current and working knowledge of Information Security best practices, methodologies, and techniques;
  • 5 to 7 years of current and working knowledge in the field of information or cybersecurity;
  • Post-secondary education with studies focused on information/cyber security;
  • Professional certifications and membership of associations in the field of electronic discovery or information/cyber security (i.e. Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)).
